Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Patrol at our Charlottesville, VA location. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

This role requires compliance with site policies and strong teamwork. Qualifications include an active DoD Secret clearance, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferred experience in access control and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, restricted areas, parking, and perimeters.
• Monitor access and verify credentials per site requirements; report unauthorized access attempts.
• Prepare clear incident reports and maintain activity logs.

As a Security Guard Patrol Security Clearance in Charlottesville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.05 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, access points, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access activity and verify credentials in accordance with site requirements, reporting unauthorized access attempts and irregular conditions.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain required activity logs while communicating observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
