Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard for rounds at a residential complex in the West Farms section of the Bronx. You will conduct regular patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide excellent customer service to tenants and visitors.

This full-time position offers a pay rate of $17.00 per hour, with day-time shifts Monday through Friday. Training and growth opportunities are available, along with a range of benefits.

• Subject to a background investigation as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly residential environment.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions taken according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
• Communicate professionally with property management, residents, and first responders, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and security-related issues through established channels.

As a Security Guard conducting rounds at a residential complex in the West Farms section of the Bronx, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
