Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of work experience.
• Ability to use a computer and associated software.
• Ability to cover facility and conduct security rounds; ability to respond on short notice to alarms or emergency situations.
• Ability to lift packages or materials weighing 10 pounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Must be prepared to work different shifts and overtime hours on short notice as needs dictate.
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow all normal and emergency Guard Force Procedures and duty post assignments.
• Escort scheduled, unscheduled, and uncleared personnel or visitors and maintain sign-in logs.
• Patrol building interiors and exteriors; check for hazards, violations, and unauthorized activity.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies; coordinate with Security Manager and responders.
• Protect sensitive material during security checks within the facility.
• Wear security attire and maintain a professional appearance on duty.
• Assist with unloading/loading and relocating furniture or equipment.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Security Manager, including tasks outside the normal scope of security.
• Perform receptionist duties for facilities using a visitor control system.
