Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Boise, ID. You will monitor and patrol at a utility site, providing customer service and maintaining a secure environment for employees and visitors.

Shift options include a 12:00 AM–8:00 AM schedule on Wed and Thur, with opportunities to grow through paid training and our shift-claim platform. Join a team committed to safety and service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and the public by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain visitor/incident records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Deter unauthorized activity, trespassing, theft, and property damage through professional presence and timely reporting.

• Wed: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Thur: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor and incident records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity, trespassing, theft, and property damage through a professional presence, observation, and timely reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
