Job Title: Security Guard

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

Position Details

Type: Part-Time

Shift: 11p-7:30a Sat & Sun

Responsibilities

1. Review a logbook at the beginning of each shift for prior activities, updates, and pertinent information.
2. Direct and assist authorized visitors, family members, bus drivers, etc., to various locations as required.
3. Maintain a daily logbook recording incidents, sick calls, and other activities, and complete all required reports accurately.
4. Dispense and retrieve keys, mobile phones, and gas cards to authorized personnel, documenting all transactions.
5. Monitor the Siemens Alarm System, respond to bypasses and testing, and place the building on fire watch if needed.
6. Escort emergency vehicles and assist as necessary.
7. Answer phones, relay information, and contact maintenance or facility management as needed, documenting all actions.
8. Conduct periodic building patrols to check for safety and security issues during assigned shifts.
9. Transport clients and staff as needed during emergencies or when requested, with all trips logged and documented.
10. Search grounds for missing clients and file reports with the police if necessary.
11. Act as the Communications Center during emergencies, coordinating with staff and agencies, and ensuring alert procedures are followed.
12. Check and log fire extinguishers monthly, and manage refilling and replacement as needed.
13. Secure and unlock building doors and offices according to schedule and authorization.
14. Enforce parking and traffic regulations, issue citations, and direct vehicle movement during events.
