Job summary

Allied Universal in Saint Charles, IL is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Observation to protect clients across industries, including Food/Beverage. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide friendly, professional customer service while adhering to site policies.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, monitoring access points, and documenting patrols and observations for leadership.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment; a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

As an unarmed patrol officer at a food and beverage location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of food production, warehouse, shipping and receiving, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, vendor, and contractor entry in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
