Job summary

Allied Universal seeks a Security Officer Patrol in Carlinville, IL to monitor and safeguard client premises in a healthcare setting. You will deliver exceptional customer service, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security concerns with integrity.

Qualifications

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $24.72 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical‑related emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, access control procedures, and reporting of unusual conditions or security‑related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
