Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a Security Guard to protect our facilities and people across all shifts. You will monitor entrances, authorize access, and maintain a visible presence to deter theft and guarantee safety.

You will write daily activity reports, respond to alarms, coordinate with local authorities during emergencies, patrol premises, and politely enforce site rules while remaining professional in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience required: 6+ months security guard or relevant role.
• Able to work the scheduled times and overtime when needed.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (hot, cold, rain).
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly during shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of people to guard against theft and protect premises.
• Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities.
• Calls police or fire departments in emergencies.
• Answers alarms and investigates disturbances.
• Patrols premises to prevent intrusion and protect doors/windows.
• Answers telephone and provides information during off-hours.
• Enforces rules and may apprehend violators when necessary.
