Job summary

Wet Willie's is seeking a security professional to perform protective, preventative, safety and security enforcement functions across the facility. You will patrol inside and outside areas, monitor surveillance, and control access to ensure safety for customers, visitors and staff.

You will respond to intrusion, fire and health/safety incidents, maintain logs, greet visitors, and coordinate with police, fire and EMS as needed. A flexible schedule including weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous security experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inside and outside patrols to maintain premises security.
• Monitor surveillance systems for intrusion and unauthorized activity.
• Control access of employees and visitors.
• Respond to security incidents, fires and health/safety events.
• Maintain legible duty and visitor logs.

Job description

Perform protective, preventative, safety and security related enforcement functions touring facility to ensure the safety and well-being of customers, visitors and staff. Implements and monitors all security operations in accordance with all applicable laws and company policies in a courteous and restrained manner in coping with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances and threats.

Major responsibilities include:

• Maintaining security of premises by conducting inside and outside patrols of the secure facility
• Maintaining a professional appearance, uniform and manner at all times
• Monitoring surveillance systems for intrusion and unauthorized activities
• Controlling access of employees and/or visitor
• Responding to intrusion, fire, and health/safety related incidents
• Maintaining legible duty and visitor logs
• Greet visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Coordinating with police, fire and emergency medical personnel
• Other specific duties as may be required by the contract

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous security experience preferred (prior military highly desirable)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in basic computer skills
• Ability to quickly learn the layout of the facility, function rooms, and some knowledge of the city and surrounding areas
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Valid driver’s license with no suspensions or revocations within the past 7 years
• Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property
• Must have the ability to communicate in English
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
