Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial office buildings, lobbies, parking areas, access points, common areas, and surrounding property perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and building conditions; assist with maintaining visitor, contractor, and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed by site protocols.
• Report observed maintenance concerns, hazardous conditions, policy violations, and other security-related issues to property management and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Guard Patrol Access Control in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and respond to alarms or concerns. You will support a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service while documenting activities using computer or tablet tools. Pay Rate: $22.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
