Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Louisville, KY. You will patrol, deter incidents, assist visitors, and maintain a visible presence while delivering strong customer service.

The role requires 2+ years security experience, high school diploma, and flexibility for evening shifts. CPR certification is preferred; background check and drug screening may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted; drug screen may be required.
• Licensing where applicable and driver's license for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $19.45 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Tue: 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Wed: 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Thur: 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Sat: 01:00 PM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; assist with directing visitors to appropriate public service areas when needed.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation for security-related occurrences.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
