Job summary

Allied Universal in Orlando, FL is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard (Unarmed Patrol) to monitor residential communities, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to residents and visitors. The role follows a daytime/early-evening schedule, with shifts posted through our Claim a Shift platform.

You will report security concerns and maintain a visible presence to ensure a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of security-related experience
• Guard card or license preferred
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background investigation as required by law
• Allied Universal may consider applicants with criminal histories as permitted by law
• Drug screen required where permitted by law
• Licensing requirements may be required before employment
• Driver's license required for driving positions only

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors; adhere to site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of residential areas, parking, perimeters, and designated locations.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions or violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations following site procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs of patrols and security-related observations

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout residential common areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the residential community, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
