Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services provider, invites applications for a Part Time Unarmed Patrol Checkpoint role in Honolulu, HI. You will check areas, deter incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment while delivering excellent customer service.

As a part-time position, you can build a flexible schedule and gain exposure to a range of roles. The job pays $22.00 per hour and requires the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to students, staff and visitors while enforcing campus procedures.
• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents following campus protocols and documentation.
• Maintain logs and reports with clear, professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, residence areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations through required communication channels and documentation.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while providing professional directions and assistance to individuals throughout the location.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
