Allied Universal in Nashville, TN is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard for unarmed patrol duties at a government location. You will provide courteous customer service to visitors and staff while maintaining a visible security presence and following site procedures.

Responsibilities include monitoring access points, responding to incidents calmly, performing routine patrols of offices and perimeters, and documenting observations for site leaders.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• 18+ years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of activity in public and restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government offices, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
