Job summary

Armorous is seeking a Security Officer for a dispensary/retail shop in San Francisco, CA. You will safeguard properties, deter crime, greet guests, check IDs, and enforce site policies with professionalism.

The role demands vigilance, strong decision-making, and clear communication, with occasional interactions with unhoused individuals handled respectfully. Shifts run Sunday 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Monday 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM, with potential for additional shifts.

Qualifications

• BSIS Guard Card required.
• 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate
• 32-hour continuing education certificates
• Experience working graveyard shifts.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Remain alert and proactive in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.
• Identify and report suspicious activity and safety hazards.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter crime and ensure safety.
• Respond to incidents and assist in emergencies.
• Document daily activity and observations in reports.
• Communicate updates to supervisors and team members.

Position/Titles:

• Security Officer for Dispensary/Retail Shop

Job Description:

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding properties, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of the business, their staff, and their customers. Officers are responsible for greeting guests and checking them into the dispensary system as well as checking IDs. Officers are responsible for ensuring safety and security of the site and preventing theft.
Your role requires vigilance, strong decision-making, and excellent communication skills to handle security incidents effectively. This site may experience occasional interaction with unhoused individuals who pass through or attempt to use facility amenities.
There is also a known unhoused population in the surrounding area. These interactions are typically non-confrontational but require professionalism, awareness, and the ability to enforce site policies respectfully.

Shifts:
Sunday - - - 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Monday - - - 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
+ opportunity for additional shifts

Compensation:

$21.00 per hour

Security Guard Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.

• Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.
• Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergency situations.
• Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns.

Security GuardQualifications:

• Valid BSIS Guard Card (required).
• Current with BSIS Compliance
  • i.e: 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate
  • 32-hour continuing education certificates
• Experience working graveyard shifts.
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.
