Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Guard in Bridgeton, NJ to protect clients across industries. You will manage visitor access, monitor entry points, conduct patrols, and provide excellent customer service on site.

Position Type: Part Time • Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour. Shifts: DayTime Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM. CPR/First Aid preferred; high school diploma required; background check and drug screening as applicable.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening as required by law.
• 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry processes, and maintain access records.
• Respond to access-related incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, common areas, and the business perimeter.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and leadership regarding incidents.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry processes, and maintain accurate access-related records for the location.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, common areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, access-control issues, and unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
