Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Direct traffic or move illegally parked cars outside as needed.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally, following site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to support a welcoming environment.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

November 21 for 8 hours, November 27 and 28 for 12 hours and on December 4, 5, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 26 for 8 hours. Holiday Schedule

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail shopping center.
• All of the work will be outside directing traffic or moving illegally parked cars.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and staff.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
