Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Bedminster, NJ. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide excellent customer service to tenants and visitors at a commercial real estate site.

The role offers flexible day schedules (07:00–15:00 on weekends and weekdays) with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour. Prior security experience and the ability to work independently are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required; drug screen as allowed by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management per site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas; report issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas; observe visitor and contractor activity; report unauthorized access or suspicious conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; coordinate with appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and shift handoff information per Allied Universal and site requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property management by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas; observe visitor and contractor activity; and report unauthorized access or suspicious conditions according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff information in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
