Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard in California, MD to monitor and protect facilities across aerospace/defense locations. As a Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will provide a visible presence, follow site procedures, and respond to security concerns with professionalism.

The role offers a part-time schedule with evening shifts, a $24.02 hourly pay rate, and opportunities to gain CPR/First Aid and guard credentials.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance is required for specific posts.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check in accordance with federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, production areas, offices, parking areas and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain logs and incident documentation per site requirements.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors and leadership regarding security-related concerns and site activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
