Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Patrol with an active clearance in Goleta, CA. You will monitor aerospace/defense locations, maintain a visible security presence, and provide exceptional customer service and reporting.

This role offers flexible scheduling via our Claim a Shift platform, with training and opportunities for career growth. Pay is $25.75 per hour and shifts include DayTime and Weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Age requirement: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal/state/local laws.
• Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service while executing security procedures and emergency responses at an aerospace/defense site.
• Monitor access points, verify IDs, manage visitor logs, and direct personnel/deliveries as required.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities, offices, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and notify site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Prepare accurate patrol and incident reports and maintain documentation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct personnel and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, offices, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, access activity, incidents, and unusual observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
