Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Wichita, KS to provide exceptional service while patrolling, monitoring access, and responding to incidents. The role emphasizes customer service and a visible presence to deter risk in a retail/entertainment setting.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, employees, and vendors by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and guest concerns in a calm, professional manner and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior or maintenance concerns to management.
• Document incidents and daily activities accurately and communicate information to site management.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 06:00 PM - 02:00 AM
• Sat 06:00 PM - 02:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail entertainment location.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrols, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
