Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Patrol to join our team in Wichita, KS. This full-time, unarmed position involves patrolling assigned areas, monitoring access, and providing excellent customer service to clients, visitors, and staff.

Schedule: Mon–Fri 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. You will undergo a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization according to site procedures, and maintain visitor/incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and follow response protocols.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership while documenting observations and patrol activity.

As an unarmed Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and stakeholders while reporting security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization according to site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established response protocols.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership while documenting observations, incidents, and completed patrol activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
