Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Observation in Dekalb, IL. You will monitor facilities, deter security incidents, and provide friendly customer service at a food and beverage location. The role supports a visible security presence and requires professional communication with staff and visitors.

Position Type: Part Time. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour. Schedule includes DayTime shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen required; licensing as per state laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a location by following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of interior, exterior, parking areas, and access points to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain logs, and enforce entry/delivery procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly per emergency protocols and report concerns to supervision.
• Prepare clear reports and communicate observations to supervision and client representatives.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a food and beverage manufacturing location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility interior, exterior, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and help enforce site entry and delivery procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols and promptly reporting concerns to site leadership.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain daily activity logs, and communicate observations and incidents to Allied Universal supervision and client representatives as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
