Job summary

Allied Universal in Ottawa, IL is seeking a part-time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol to protect clients across industries including Food/Beverage. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures and responding calmly to incidents.
• Respond to alarms and critical situations following site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of production areas, grounds, parking, and access points.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, and deliveries.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in required reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
