Job summary

Mission Resort + Club is seeking a dependable Part-Time Security Guard for evenings and potential overnights. Based at Howey-in-the-Hills, FL, you will help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for guests, members and staff while protecting property.

You will patrol buildings and grounds, respond to incidents, monitor systems, and complete detailed reports. Evening shifts start around 5:00 PM, with possible 10:00 PM–6:00 AM coverage and weekend/holiday hours as needed.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dependable, observant, and service-oriented Part-Time Security Guard to join our Security team! In this role, you'll help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our guests, members, and team members while protecting resort property and responding to safety concerns.

This position primarily involves evening shifts, with the possibility of overnight coverage based on operational needs.

What You'll Do

• Patrol resort buildings, grounds, parking areas, and designated locations to monitor safety and security.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and guest concerns.
• Monitor property activity and identify potential safety hazards or suspicious behavior.
• Assist guests and team members while maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
• Monitor security systems, radios, and other communication equipment.
• Document incidents, unusual activity, and security concerns through accurate, detailed reports.
• Inspect and report concerns involving safety and security equipment.
• Provide transportation assistance to guests and team members as assigned.
• Coordinate with resort departments and emergency responders when necessary.
• Follow established security procedures, emergency response protocols, and resort policies.

What We're Looking For

• At least one year of experience in security, safety, or guest services preferred.
• Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately during emergencies or challenging situations.
• Professional, dependable, and committed to maintaining confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment.
• Comfort patrolling indoor and outdoor areas in varying weather conditions.
• Availability to work part-time evening shifts, with potential overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to complete incident reports and communicate effectively with resort leadership.

Employment Type: Part-Time

Evening Shift: Beginning at approximately 5:00 PM; end time varies based on operational needs.

Potential Overnight Shift: 10:00 PM–6:00 AM

Availability: Weekends and holidays may be required.
