Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard in Pooler, GA. You will guard and assist clients, screen people and materials, and help maintain a secure environment across logistics locations.

Responsibilities include access control, patrols, and incident reporting. Minimum 6 months security experience is required; CPR and license are preferred. This role may require a background check and drug screening where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Pay Rate: $15.24 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel entering the distribution location in accordance with access-control procedures.
• Monitor inbound and outbound traffic, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation, and report irregularities to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entry points, loading zones, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
