Job summary

Allied Universal in Falls Church, VA is seeking an experienced Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Driving Patrol to provide reliable security at a designated site with flexible hours and opportunities to pick up extra shifts. The role offers a fixed anchor shift on Sundays 3:00 PM–11:00 PM with a pay rate of $17.50 per hour, plus the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program to take additional shifts across sites.

Responsibilities include serving tenants/visitors, monitoring access, conducting patrolling

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• There are limited on-site facilities at the site (portable toilets, rustic guard shacks).
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly, escalating per site procedures.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols in retail areas, parking, loading zones and perimeter.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Driving Patrol in Falls Church, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the retail location, helping to deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and policy violations.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in required reports and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
