Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Dispatch Communications Security Guard in Newark, DE to provide frontline customer service and guard client sites at financial institutions. • 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience, or a college degree.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required; licensing may be required.
• Driver’s license required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures and site policies.
• Monitor calls, alarms, and dispatch resources per site protocols.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with responders.
• Document dispatch activity and incidents in logs and reporting systems.
• Deter unauthorized activity by monitoring access and reporting unusual conditions.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Monitor incoming calls, alarms, and other communications; dispatch appropriate personnel and/or resources according to site-specific protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining clear communication with onsite personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Document dispatch activity, incidents, and communications accurately in required logs and reporting systems.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by monitoring access-related communications and reporting unusual conditions according to established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
