Job summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking a part-time Security Guard to safeguard our site in Pennsylvania. Two shifts are available: 12am–8am Saturday/Sunday and 8am–4pm Saturday and Sunday, focusing on access control, CCTV monitoring, and physical security.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, OSHA PPE training, and a clear background. You will perform logs, inspections, emergency response, and coordinate with local authorities as needed; strong organizational and reporting skills are

• OSHA certified and trained in PPE requirements.
• Proficient in brazing and soldering techniques.
• Clear background investigation.
• Clear driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Administer building security access control for all visitors.
• Monitor CCTV, perform walking patrols, and operate building management systems.
• Secure all exterior entry and exit points.
• Check alarms, hazards, spills, floods, and log abnormal conditions.
• Receive and assist local emergency personnel.
• Maintain daily logs and participate in emergency drills.
• Support energy conservation by turning off lights.

Position Description/Summary:

The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a Part Time Security Guard. We have two shifts available for this position. 12am-8am Saturday/Sunday and 8am-4pm Saturday and Sunday. The Security Guard will have a strong focus on professionalism and site security. Individuals are expected to demonstrate technical expertise in site-security in order to successfully complete daily/weekly work assignments.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Administer building security access control procedures for all visitors
• Conduct monitoring utilizing CCTV, walking patrols and building management systems
• Secure all exterior entry and exit points
• Conduct good energy conservation practices such as turning off lights
• Check for proper operation of vital equipment, various other systems and lighting operations
• Check for alarms, hazards, spills, floods, and record any abnormal conditions
• Receive and assist local emergency personnel
• Monitor 24 hour research operations and initiate appropriate responses to mitigate research/equipment facility loss
• Maintain daily logs and records
• Participate in emergency drills
• And other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Clear background investigation.
• Clear driver's license and have reliable transportation to work

Required Experience:

• Sufficient experience and knowledge of uniformed guard services

Required Education:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent, with two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration and HVAC.
• OSHA certified and trained in the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
• Shall be proficient in brazing and soldering techniques

*Salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and certifications.
