Job summary

Village On The Isle in Venice, FL is seeking a Security Guard to patrol the campus and ensure safety for residents and staff. Reporting to the Security and Hospitality Manager, you will observe, report, and document suspicious activities, and assist with daily operations in a health care facility setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, prior law enforcement or military background preferred, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Performs door/windows checks to ensure security.
• Attends trainings and meetings as requested.
• Maintains reliable attendance as an essential function.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Security and Hospitality Manager, the Security Guard guards and monitors the Village On The Isle campus to ensure the highest level of safety and security for our residents and staff. The Security Guard respectfully interacts with all residents, family members, visitors, colleagues and staff. This is a safety sensitive position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Patrols the entire campus of Village On The Isle, including inside building and the outside perimeter
• Observes, reports and documents all suspicious activities in Incident Reports
• Compiles and submits daily report of activities to the Security Manager
• Notify Facilities & Engineering of any maintenance safety hazard
• Conducts hand and visual checks of doors, windows and other areas that should be locked and secured
• Participates in ongoing in-service education and trainings
• Attends meetings as requested
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
