Allied Universal® in Hanahan, SC is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer to protect clients across Tech/Media/Telecom locations. You will patrol, monitor access, and deliver professional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence to deter incidents.

As a part-time role, you can build a flexible schedule and join a team that values caring, teamwork, and integrity. Prior security or customer service experience is a plus, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of buildings and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate observations and incidents to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.37 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sat 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM; Sun 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Communicate observations and incidents to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic work environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
