Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard – Media Studio Patrol in New York, NY to safeguard clients across tech/media/telecom locations. You will perform patrols, remain highly visible, deter incidents, and document observations while communicating clearly with staff and visitors.

The role is full-time with daytime shifts and a pay rate of $19.30 per hour. You’ll join a team built on teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture, with opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and media location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation when appropriate and requesting additional support as needed.
• Monitor access points and public areas, help to deter unauthorized entry, and assist with visitor management and/or basic credential checks as directed by post orders.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and support security-related investigations when requested.
