Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – After-Hours Patrol in New York, NY to monitor and protect a tech/media office environment. You will perform unarmed patrols, respond calmly to incidents, document actions, and maintain a visible security presence to deter threats.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

As a Security Officer – After-Hours Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering a welcoming customer service experience. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to site employees, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a tech and media office environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting actions taken, and assisting with scene management until support arrives.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or policy concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and security-related systems as assigned, including verifying credentials, controlling visitor entry, and reporting irregular activity per post orders.
• Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, communicate relevant updates during post transitions, and support client policy compliance through consistent observation and reporting.
