Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by enforcing site policies and security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols in office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access control points and verify IDs; assist with visitor check-in and directions.
• Respond to alarms, calls for service, and incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed.
• Complete detailed written reports and daily activity logs, communicate site updates during shift turnover.

Job Description

As a Security Officer – Media Studio Patrol Driver in Secaucus, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a positive experience through clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and compliance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and an agile, reliable, innovative approach.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific policies, security-related procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards, maintenance issues, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access control points and authorized entry areas, verify identification and/or credentials, and assist with visitor check-in and directions in a professional manner.
• Respond to alarms, calls for service, and incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to Allied Universal supervision and/or local responders as needed.
• Complete detailed written reports and daily activity logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate site updates during shift turnover.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be 21 or more years of age.
• Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
