Job Description

As a Security Officer – Media Office Patrol in Newtown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security‑related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will engage with visitors and staff, supporting access control and badge procedures, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access. Working environments and conditions may vary by location, especially within tech, media, and telecom settings.
• Observe and report any irregularities, such as security‑related breaches, property damage, or unusual occurrences, to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as appropriate.
• Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
• Assist visitors and employees with directions and information as needed, maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
• Remain alert to potential security‑related risks and report any concerns promptly according to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
