Security Guard – Unarmed Residential Patrol

Tolentine-Zeiser Community Life Center – Join to apply for the Security Guard role, located in the New York City Metropolitan Area.

Pay

Base pay range: $17.00/hr – $17.00/hr (actual pay will be based on skills and experience).

Basic Function

Maintain the security of the building and operate firefighting equipment as necessary.

Reporting Line

Reports to Security Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security watches at building entrance and patrol building to ensure safety of residents, noting and correcting irregularities (e.g., open doors, windows, etc.).
• Maintain activity log and complete incident reports as required.
• Inspect and maintain security equipment as directed.
• Assist in fire drills as directed. Perform daily check of fire safety equipment, logging conditions encountered, and filling out service requests as needed.
• Assist residents and staff, as needed, to maintain the orderly functioning of the residence.
• Pass a background check and hold a valid NYS security license.
• Participate in and pass the yearly basic CPR course.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred with at least 1 year of experience.
