Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to serve in a hospital environment in New York, NY. You will provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while following site-specific procedures and emergency response protocols.

The role involves regular unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, monitoring access points, reporting suspicious activity, and responding calmly to incidents in collaboration with site leadership.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and applicable emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building perimeters, parking areas, entrances, and public spaces, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization as required, and report suspicious activity or access concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency personnel and following established site protocols when needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Pay Rate: $17.87 - $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed: 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur: 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
