As a Security Guard Hospital Entry Screening in Elkridge, MD, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.36 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri10:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, behavioral health concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, patient‑care areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as requested, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal management, healthcare staff, and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
