As a Security Guard Full Time Access Control in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors while supporting site operations through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach. Pay Rate: $17.87 - $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct individuals in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned utility facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Assist with maintaining orderly vehicle and pedestrian access during routine operations, maintenance activities, and emergency events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
