Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbia, SC is seeking a full-time Unarmed Security Guard to safeguard clients at financial institutions and other sites. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide courteous service to employees and visitors while maintaining a visible, professional presence.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of security experience, a valid driver's license where required, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial services location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear, timely reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity, reliability, and teamwork.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
