Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services provider, seeks an Unarmed Patrol Officer in Newark, NJ. You will patrol, monitor access, document incidents, and deliver customer service at a financial institution site.

Position type is full-time with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and the role emphasizes safety, presence, and professional interaction with clients and employees.

Qualifications

• State, county, or city issued security license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law; licensing may vary by state/local.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the business, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and direct visitors as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident reports, communicating observations and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
