Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard (Full Time, Unarmed) in New York, NY to monitor and protect a financial institution and support a welcoming environment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and patrol logs.
• Support a professional environment by providing directions, assisting with security‑related inquiries, and reporting maintenance or operational concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
