Job summary

Allied Universal, Kansas City's trusted security partner, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time to protect a commercial real estate site. You will monitor entrances, patrol interiors and exteriors, and provide professional customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will uphold site policies, report incidents, maintain logs, and coordinate with security leadership. The role requires being 18+, HS diploma, and passing background checks and drug screening;

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by applicable laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and building conditions; report observations, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site requirements.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
