Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A background investigation and drug screen may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, proactive manner following procedures.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs.

As a Security Guard Full Time Licensed Patrol in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and facility-related issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
