Allied Universal in Dubuque, IA is seeking a Security Guard for a full-time afternoon schedule at a food and beverage location. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, greet employees and visitors, and monitor access to support a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Screen incoming deliveries and outbound traffic, document access-related activity, and report unusual conditions to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, production-area perimeters, and surrounding property.

As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, greet employees and visitors, and monitor access activity to help support a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Screen incoming deliveries and outbound traffic as required, document access-related activity, and report unusual conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, production-area perimeters, and surrounding property; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
