Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbus, OH is hiring a Security Guard Full Time Access Control Concierge to safeguard clients across healthcare locations and other facilities. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access, and deliver outstanding customer service while documenting security activity in system logs.

This role requires being at least 18 years old, holding a high school diploma, and comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, patients, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in locations.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access control observations accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
