Allied Universal in Joliet, IL is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Threat Assessment to monitor distribution locations, provide customer service, and deter security incidents across logistics facilities. The role requires maintaining a visible presence and communicating with employees and visitors to support a welcoming environment.

Shifts include Thu 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Fri 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Sat 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, and Sun 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Pay Rate: $18.39 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location, including business areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter access points.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report unusual activity or potential policy violations.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
