Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Guard – Flex Mobile Patrol Driver in Fairfax, VA. This unarmed patrol position involves driving a company vehicle, conducting routine patrols, and reporting incidents while providing excellent customer service to site staff and visitors.

You will patrol buildings and perimeter areas, verify access, and coordinate with site leadership for any emergencies. A valid driver's license and a high school diploma are required; CPR/First Aid and background checks

As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will complete detailed reports, support access control as needed, and provide strong customer service through clear communication with site staff and visitors. This is a driving post, so you will use a company or site vehicle while following AU Driver Policy requirements.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at a utilities location in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, treatment areas, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to identify unusual conditions, unsecured doors, and other security-related concerns.
• Control access by verifying identification and/or work authorization for visitors and contractors, directing authorized individuals to designated areas, and documenting entries and exits per post orders.
• Complete detailed activity and incident reports, monitor site alarms and/or cameras when assigned, and communicate timely updates to supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
