Allied Universal in Independence, KY is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable, customer‑focused security services at a distribution facility. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with six‑month commitment and additional paid pick‑up shifts to boost earnings.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and report issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking lots, trailer yards, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site requirements.
• Observe freight movement, vehicle traffic, and facility activity; communicate suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.
