Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Teterboro, NJ. This role offers flexible, dependable hours with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

You will provide customer service, enforce site policies, and perform regular patrols at a logistics location. Training, advancement opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, vehicle and pedestrian traffic issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, entrances, trailer yards, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and driver credentials, and maintain logs of arrivals, departures, incidents, and patrol activity.
• Communicate observations and incidents promptly to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Patrol Services in Teterboro, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access‑control concerns, vehicle and pedestrian traffic issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, entrances, trailer yards, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and driver credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs of arrivals, departures, incidents, and patrol activity.
• Communicate observations and incidents promptly to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, following established reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security‑related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
